  1. Find a doctor

It is important to find a doctor that you trust and are comfortable with so that you can openly discuss all aspects of your health.

  1. See that doctor.

Men tend to think macho and dismiss pains and aches. Don't ignore these little signs as they might grow into a serious health problem. Once you experience chest pain, vision loss or black stool, it's time to see the doctor. Don't be in denial.

  1. Be informed.

There some things you can research, but never research to self-diagnose. Be informed of things you should be on lookout for to know when you should see your doctor for a checkup.

  1. Eat, eat, eat.

For men, getting the right nutrition is very importantaside from sleep. Eat a variety of healthy food and give focus not only on calories but, more importantly, also on nutrients to keep you energize throughout your day.

  1. Have varying workouts.

Always doing the same routine workout will make your body comfortable with it. Vary your exercises to keep your body healthy.

  1. Get enough sleep.

Hours of sleep vary per person, but for men, at least 7 hours of sleep is needed every day. No ifs, no buts. Compensating through exercise or more sleep the next day to overcome sleep deprivation is a very bad idea.

  1. Check your head.

Do not forget to also check on your mental health. Assess yourself and learn about your family's health history for mental illnesses. If you're experiencing some signs and symptoms that could point to a mental issue, consult your doctor.

  1. Care for your prostrate

Men often forget that the prostrate grows as you get older, so having some urinary problems is a possibility. To lower the chances of prostrate growth, maintain a healthy, low-fat diet.
