Too much calcium can increase the risk of kidney stones and heart diseases. Women under 50 need at least 1,000 milligram per day while those over 50 need at least 1,200 per day. Have a diet with calcium-rich food such as salmon, milk and almonds.

  1. Don't forget to de-stress.

Always take a time to breathe and relax within your day. Juggling too many things can cause stress that increases the risk of depression and anxiety. This may even result to infertility or higher risk for heart diseases.

  1. Think about fertility.

Women's fertility may start to decline when they reach the age of 32. If you're thinking of having kids in your 30s or 40s, consider freezing your eggs or consult your doctor for other options.

  1. Know the benefits of birth control.

While birth control is known for making sure you don't get accidentally pregnant, it also has other lesser-known benefits such as regulating your period and lowering the risk of ovarian and uterine cancer.

  1. Do cardio and more.

Prevent osteoporosis, cancer, heart disease, and diabetes by religiously doing cardio exercises along with resistance or weight-bearing exercises.

  1. Get enough sleep.

If you tire easily or have trouble concentrating, you are likely not getting enough sleep. Not getting enough sleep may increase the risk of heart diseases or psychological problems.

  1. Consider genetic testing.

Ask your doctor about genetic testing, which screens people's health history to assess the risk of chronic diseases in order to prepare early preventive measures.
